The company ZEN AGRO P.C., coordinator of the project, focuses on digital transformation, adaptation to smart agriculture and the provision of consulting services on farms. It has developed precision irrigation software that provides specialized advice irrigation for all crops). Within the framework of this project, it will implement an interface of the software with the smart solenoid valve of the ARTECH company and with the weather forecast data provided by the National Observatory of Athens in order to produce personalized information for growers on the upcoming weather conditions and possible damages to their crops.
The Research Institution and Innovation Intermediary ELGO-DIMITRA-IELYA will contribute to the creation of a methodology for evaluating the effectiveness of the implementation of the IIMS through the evaluation of the quality and quantity of products produced for the crops of the pilot fields and the degree of savings in water resources.
No Waste 21, an environmental organization as a Know-how Transfer Agency, will carry out an environmental assessment of the project and disseminate the results.
ARTECH, as a Know-how Transfer Agency, has smart valves and valve control software that will be adapted to be able to collaborate with the software of the company ZEN AGRO P.C. for the creation of the IIMS. The company will make smart electric valves available to farmers of the cooperatives that will be piloted in the program.
The National Observatory of Athens has a network of weather stations and regional weather forecasts for the whole country. Within the framework of this project, it undertakes the provision of meteorological data and regional forecasts that will be automatically imported into the software of the company ZEN AGRO PC to be analyzed per parcel.
The Agricultural Cooperative of Kalamata will collaborate with producers who will allocate the plots with peanut and potato cultivation for the needs of the project.
